The Baseline in Brutal scalps is a complex Moving Average . It is basically a Hull Moving average that is following either Volume or Volatility. There is a slight difference in the two settings and how you use it properly.

When we have a trending market, on any given timeframe it is recommended to use the Volatility . When we have a ranging market, it is recommended we use volume as it will give us more precise entries as the range extremities are tested.
The consolidation area Threshold #
This threshold can be used to filter heavily ranging markets. This setting is extremely useful if you see that the indicator sends false signals and/or if the market is faking out of ranges a lot. The standard setting is 9 , a more filtered approach would mean that we increase the threshold to mid 20s or slightly below.
